Whether townsfolk or nature lover, software or creative geek, network activist or entepreneur, province or city planner: We would like you and them get together and put down roots for the future.
Our green #rp17 topics allow us to grow new impulses: How townsfolk can make use of technology to discover their environment? How do provinces get connected? How we may reduce our ecological footprint – like as a digital gardeners or by building our own fine dust measuring instrument?
#rpTEN saw the first cooperation with the International Garden Exhibition (IGA) taking place until October 15th, 2017, in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district of Berlin and will have lots of urban planning projects spread all across the city. For the re:publica 2017, we’re expanding our fruitful cooperation.
Hence, on the last Thursday of the month, for a total of five nights from April until August, we’ll be inviting you to the Wolkenhain to join us for a symposium on the topic of “Digitizing the Greenery”. Come to the kick-off symposium on April 27th, 2017! radioeins will be accompanying the event series and will stream each of the events live. The symposium will also be taking place alongside the new Garden & Home Blog Award. Among others, two of our rp17 speakers will accompany one symposium. Including: Philipp Wodara showing you how turn into a gardener and monitor from the comfort of your home your own growing. And: Simon Kowalewski who talks about how nerds regain rural areas to create utopian places.
You like to join? Take part in our small lottery and tell us what you think about DiG. Or get a low-priced ticket (10,-EUR) from 5 pm at the IGA box office which allows you to take a little tour on site before the the programme "Digitizing the Greenery“ starts at 7 pm in the visitor centre. First come, first serve.

About the IGA:
Berlin gets Green – International Garden Exhibition (IGA) Berlin 2017
Under the banner of “An OCEAN of colors”, the International Garden Exhibition invites visitors to join them in Berlin from April 13th to October 15th, 2017. The IGA aims to make international garden design come alive on the exhibition grounds surrounding the Gardens of the World in Marzahn-Hellersdorf and the newly created Kienbergpark, thereby helping provide new impulses for contemporary urban development and a green lifestyle. Among other things, the IGA site will be showing smart ideas for a sustainable lifestyle. We’ll have the “IP Garden” in the Malzfabrik, for example: the little garden can be remotely watered using your smartphone or tablet and you can watch the plants growing live via cameras. A mini photovoltaics system called “Sunzilla” is set up in a green enclave next to the garden and delivers power for mobile devices. We’re especially looking forward to Berlin’s first cabin cable car! #IGA2017
