I am a marine biologist with a PhD in marine microbiology and ecology.  I was a member of Ocean Sampling Day (OSD) and MyOSD team where I was responsible for DNA extraction from several hundred samples sent by scientists and citizens from all around the world. Currently, I am testing Nanopore sequencing technology and it's potential for fast identification of microorganisms in the environment.
