Anita Jóri is a research assistant at the Vilém Flusser Archive, Berlin University of the Arts (since October 2016). She finished her master studies in history, pedagogy and applied linguistics at Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, HU), where she is currently finishing her PhD thesis entitled “The discourse community of electronic dance music”. 

Earlier as a research assistant at the University of Pécs (HU) and Macromedia University of Applied Sciences (Berlin), Anita Jóri took part in different research projects, e.g. she was a co-editor of an anthology on gender linguistics. She is part of the organization team of "Polarity Shift", which has organized different panel discussions, networking events and gatherings on the topic of the actual situation of female artists and protagonists of the EDM scene.
