Ariana Zustra ist Journalistin und absolvierte ihr Volontariat beim Rolling Stone sowie eine Ausbildung an der Zeitenspiegel-Reportageschule Günter Dahl und an der Axel-Springer-Akademie. Sie war unter anderem tätig als Chefin vom Dienst beim Filmmagazin ME.Movies und ehrenamtliches Redaktionsmitglied von Die Epilog, der Zeitschrift für Gegenwartskultur. Sie schrieb unter anderem für Die Welt, Der Tagesspiegel, mobil und die Schweizer WOZ.

Ihre Reportage "Nichts als die Wahrheit" (GO-Magazin) über die Nachkriegszeit in der kroatischen Stadt Vukovar wurde beim n-ost-Reportagepreis 2014 auf die Shortlist gewählt. 2016 gewann sie mit ihrem Team den RIAS Digitale-Medien-Preis für das Multimedia-Projekt „Je reste Charlie“.

Die gebürtige Kroatin aus Dubrovnik wuchs am Bodensee auf und studierte in Tübingen Empirische Kulturwissenschaft, Soziologie, Medienwissenschaft, Internationale Literaturen und Slawistik. Mit dem ehemaligen Bandprojekt Life As Art 1927 und dem aktuellen Solo-Projekt ZUSTRA ist Ariana Zustra musikalisch tätig.

Ariana Zustra is a Croatian-born and Berlin-based journalist and musician. She graduated from the Axel Springer Akademie and the Zeitenspiegel-Reportageschule Günter Dahl, after having studied cultural studies, sociology and media science in Tübingen.

She has been working on the German edition of Rolling Stone and as the managing editor for the film magazine ME.Movies. Besides writing for numerous publications like Die Welt or Der Tagesspiegel, she has worked as a voluntary editor at the indie magazine Die Epilog.

Ariana Zustra is active as a musician with her solo project ZUSTRA and was a member of the former shoegaze band Life As Art 1927.
