Rosamunde van Brakel is a researcher at the LSTS research group at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel who is currently finalising her doctoral dissertation in criminology: Taming the future? A rhizomatic analysis of preemptive surveillance of children and its consequences. She is interested in anything to do with surveillance, crime, profiling and new technologies In addition to this she is executive director of the non-profit organisation Privacy Salon: http://www.privacysalon.org and managing director of the annual international conference Computers, Privacy and Data Protection: http://www.cpdpconferences.org.
