Title

Short thesis:

As part of Fablab Berlin's presentation Theresa Schubert is presenting her generative installation "survival".

Description:

As part of Fablab Berlin's presentation Theresa Schubert is presenting her generative video "survival". Visitors can interact with a generative computer simulation of the acellular slime mould Fuligo Septico. It explores possibilities of mapping a terrain using the spatial logic and foreaging behaviour of this organism who naturally lives in the forrest. Slime moulds belong to the oldest species on earth not having undergone evolution and thus proving to be best adapted to its environment and needs. In the video, ever changing networks of the organism form poetic landscapes.

Developed in collaboration with Falk Röder.
