In 2015, the icealex team observed that the number of startups in Alexandria (Egypt) was increasing but only few of them actually became popular while the rest remained somewhat unheard of. This observation triggered the team to study this phenomenon deeper, 80% of 50 startups reported that they are not part of any network while only 20% said that are connected to networks mainly national. We realized that most of these challenges were services typically offered by networks for startups…the solution suddenly lit up and STARTUPS of ALEX was born! It's kicking off next quarter as the 1st Incubator in Alexandria.

Connecting the Startups graduating from Incubators & Accelerators (regionally and globally) is the purpose of this Startups Exchange Programme. In which, Startups matchmaking have to be supported by the managers of Incubators & Accelerators. In this meetup, we will be discussing how we could take it further and start the implementation of this Exchange Programme among the Network.
