John Cassy, Mitbegründer und CEO

Cassy gründete 2016 zusammen mit Regisseur und BAFTA-Preisträger Dan Smith das Studio Factory 42 für immersive Inhalte in London.

Zuvor hatte Cassy 10 Jahre als leitender Angestellter bei Sky Plc, dem größten Unterhaltungsunternehmen in Europa, gearbeitet. Dort war er zuständig für TV-Sender wie Sky Arts und wirkte an einigen zentralen Technologie-Launches mit. Er gab Programme für verschiedenste Genres von Sport über Factual Television bis hin zu Musik und Kunst in Auftrag, darunter zwei UEFA-Champions-League-Finale, zwei Ryder Cups, das ATP-Tour-Finale at O2, NBA, Premier League, The Queen’s Speech sowie die BAFTA-preisgekrönten Filme von Sir David Attenborough. Cassy fungiert als Board Governor für die International Advanced Imaging Society in Los Angeles sowie als Trustee des Almeida Theatre, Londons Theater des Jahres 2016.

John founded immersive content studio Factory 42 in London in 2016 with BAFTA winning director Dan Smith.

Prior to that John spent 10 years as a senior executive at Sky Plc, Europe’s largest entertainment company. He ran TV channels including Sky Arts and worked on several major technology launches. He commissioned programming across genres from sports to factual to music to arts.  Commissions included two UEFA Champions League Finals, two Ryder Cups, ATP Tour Finals at O2, NBA, Premier League, The Queen’s Speech, and BAFTA winning Sir David Attenborough films.  He is a board Governor of the International Advanced Imaging Society in LA, as well as a Trustee of the Almeida Theatre, London’s 2016 Theatre of the Year.
