Michail Stangl has been for years one of the progressive forces behind the European music scene, converging avant-garde, pop and underground culture. He was recently named as one of Berlin’s ten most important public figures in music and culture.
As the director of Boiler Room Germany and one of the platforms lead programmers and faces he contributed in the past six years significantly to Boiler Rooms phenomenal success to become the worlds leading underground music platform, having joined the team in 2011 as the first international hire.
He is also one of the curators of the prestigious CTM Festival, which was recently named by The Guardian as one of the most important happenings in art and culture and runs a series of cutting-edge events at the world-famous Berghain club.
Beyond his work for Boiler Room and as a curator, he has also consulted some of the worlds leading companies and organizations including Google, Converse, Red Bull and UN on cultural strategy and positioning.
