With the motto for re:publica 2017, “Love Out Loud!”, we aim to focus attention on those people, organisations, and projects which stand up to hate, violence and injustice. Because since ten years now, our event, with all its different and colourful off-shoots, aims to reflect the diversity of an open society. For us it goes without saying that no-one should be discriminated against on the basis of their age, gender, appearance, sexual orientation, physical or mental abilities, skin colour, origin or religion.
Support us and be active in ensuring that re:publica fully reflects this openness in all its variants. Treat others with respect and help create a good atmosphere for open conversation. This includes your comments and posts on blogs, websites, the Twittersphere and other social networks and of course at #rp17. We subscribe to a reflective, moderate demeanour and interaction with others and hope to be treated the same by you. Please act responsibly on all platforms and practice de-escalation before conflicts arise. Whether online or offline, we do not tolerate any form of hate, defamation, intimidation, threats, patronising comments or behaviour and will respond to any incidents accordingly.
Furthermore, during the re:publica event we will not tolerate verbal hostility, stalking, physical altercations of any kind or people who act out negatively and disrupt sessions and/or stage events. Aggressive photography and recording of participants without their permission is forbidden. The same applies to the carrying of weapons or fireworks. Contribute in making our 11th re:publica at STATION-Berlin a great and memorable event. Help to make everyone feel safe and do not hesitate to approach us or others if you need help or support. Troublemakers will be reprimanded and we reserve the right to exclude them from events and, in extreme cases, the re:publica grounds. If someone feels unduly accused or unfairly treated, they should turn to us and we will try to mediate the matter with all involved parties.
Accessibility & Inclusive
As always, accessibility and inclusion are very important to us. The stages are wheelchair accessible, we offer tickets at reduced price and free entry for people accompanying severely disabled persons. Re:publica is an international event, featuring speakers from 60 countries. More than half of re:publica's sessions will take place in English, therefore we offer speech-to-text translation in German or English for some stages. Moreover there will be a team of sign language interpreters. Detailed Information on everything in this paragraph can be found on our Accessibility & Inclusion page.
Any questions? More on this and other information can be found through our FAQs. If you have any other issues to bring up, you can reach us via the contact form. Questions regarding tickets can be asked directly via ticket at re-publica.de.
