Clarissa, cultural geographer and BUX pioneer, is a research assistant and project manager at the chair of media and culture at the University of St. Gallen. After studying geography in Lausanne and Zurich she switched to literature via dendrochronology. She worked as curator in an ethnographic museum, achieved a MAS in arts management and was engaged as project manager at cultural offices. She has played Astor Piazzolla, rebuilt a house, climbed a 5500m high mountain, and has given birth to three sons in four years. In her projects as cultural geographer she is attracted by lonesome rough backcountry as well as by noisy grubby cities. Currently her focus is moving into the dark gaps between reality and fiction.
